Terms of Service

By creating an account or using LumynFi (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

LumynFi is a personal-finance organization and record-keeping tool. It helps you record income and expenses, organize accounts, set budgets and savings goals, track bills and subscriptions, keep personal notes of money owed, and view reports and reminders based on the data you enter.

LumynFi is not, and does not act as, any of the following:

• A bank, money-transmitter or payment service: it does not hold or move your money.
• A financial, investment or wealth advisor: it does not recommend investments or financial products.
• A lender, credit provider or debt-collection service.
• A tax or legal advisor.

Any insights, summaries or projections in the Service are informational descriptions of the numbers you entered. They are not advice, and you should not treat them as a recommendation to take any financial action.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use LumynFi. You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details and for keeping your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Because LumynFi works from the data you enter, the accuracy and completeness of that data is your responsibility. You decide what to record and keep it up to date. You are solely responsible for the financial decisions you make. Never enter bank logins, PINs, card numbers or CVV codes. LumynFi does not need them and will never ask for them.

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store data you have no right to store.
• Attempt to access other users' data or to disrupt, probe or overload the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, copy or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malicious code or attempt to bypass security or access controls.

LumynFi offers a free plan with core features and an optional paid plan. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.

The Service, including its software, design and content, is owned by LumynFi and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal finances. The data you enter remains yours.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any insight or projection is accurate or suitable for your circumstances.

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax or legal advice. You should consult an appropriately qualified professional before making decisions that have financial, tax or legal consequences.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LumynFi will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from financial decisions you make. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

You may stop using LumynFi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

We may update the Service and these terms over time. When we make material changes to the terms we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
